Vicon Motion Systems Inc. has an immediate opening for an innovative and team-oriented person to assist in supporting and testing our video and optical capture systems. We are interested in individuals with a solid Biomechanics and/or Engineering background. You will collaborate with the product design team to evaluate and test new products and prototypes. You will also help innovate all phases of systems support.
Responsibilities
• Customer Support: Provide first line technical support to Vicon customers, using various methods: Telephone, email, video calls, desktop sharing. Develop and maintain accurate records pertaining to customer accounts and contacts
• Installation and training: Plan and deliver installation and commissioning of new motion capture systems and software training. Travel domestically and internationally to customers’ facilities.
• Product Support: Create content for effective support and promotional purposes – documentation, website FAQ, tutorials, videos and working examples using Vicon software.
• Testing: Test software and hardware to quality assure Vicon products for release. Record bugs and feature requests from customers.
• Demonstrations: Assist the Sales team by developing effective demonstrations to prospective clientele. Represent Vicon at trade shows, conferences, and events.
• Manage multiple issues simultaneously
• 30% domestic travel and possible international travel.
Qualifications
• Bachler of Science degree required.
Experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, problem solving skills, and technical troubleshooting expertise.
• Confident and able to communicate professionally with and at all levels.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Self-motivated and resourceful in finding solutions by working with others.
• Organized and able to prioritize tasks working alone or within a team.
• The ideal candidate will have previous experience with supporting technical products and customers as well as a background with motion capture technology, force platforms, EMG devices, and camera lens optics.
• Able to demonstrate proficiencies with Matlab, Python or Visual 3D.
• Other desirable experience; Nexus, Tracker, Shogun, Unity, Unreal, TrackD, VRed or ROS.
