Job description

• Perform and maintain work assignments with a focus on safety, quality and productivity.

• Responsible for the assembly, test and calibration of all manufactured products to the required schedule while maintaining quality and productivity standards.


  • Performs all tasks in a safe manner, wearing required PPE and following all safety regulations.
  • Maintain 6S for a disciplined, clean and safe work environment
  • Assemble, test and calibrate PCB assembly and product (both electronic and optical) following the documentation and using the equipment provided.
  • Complete subassembly PCB assembly following IPC soldering standards.
  • Programming PCB assemblies and products with firmware and software.
  • To complete final quality checks and properly save/store all required data.
  • To diagnose and resolve problems that are identified during the production and testing process including replacing faulty components and reworking manufacturing defects.
  • To gain efficiency by improving processes and standardizing reporting, removing obstacles where possible.
  • To repair and calibrate customers' equipment.
  • To support the new product development process as required where production allows.
  • Responsible for their working environment including ESD compliance.
  • To train new team members.
  • To ensure that all activities are undertaken and controlled in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Troubleshoot issues with quality or productivity related to the team or the process
  • Suggest improvements to processes or procedures
  • Obtain and maintain Operator Certification(s)
  • Additional duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

  • 20/20 vision corrected in both eyes, required including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The ability to sit-stand 75-100% of the workday.
  • The ability to use your hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, use electronic or mechanical repair devices, fine motor skill dexterity, and keyboard use.
  • Able to climb, bend, stoop and crawl.
  • Work up to a 10-hour shift
  • The ability to properly lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

Education (Degree/Major)

  • Required - High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Preferred – Two-year certified technical education

Work Experience • 3 years working as a production operator or technician in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment. • Experience with surface mount and plated through hole soldering to IPC standard.
