Edinburgh or Inverness Full time (9 months fixed term maternity cover with the possibility of an extension) B2/3 - £33,732 - £39,731 per annum pro rata + 8% employer pension contribution

Changeworks is offering an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified professional to lead our impact evaluation service and continue its development and growth. Candidates will have a demonstrable track record of managing projects with a monitoring and evaluation or research focus and the ability to deploy a range of qualitative/quantitative research techniques.

Based within our Consultancy Team, the role requires effective working with a diversity of Changeworks projects and external clients from across sectors. Our busy Consultancy team works across the sustainability agenda and has a particular specialism related to energy efficiency, heat decarbonisation and renewables in the built environment, fuel poverty and pro-environmental behaviour change.

The successful candidate will be able to draw on a range of experience that will convince us that you can take a lead and continue our development and growth pathway in this area. You will have a commitment and passion for this field, be organised and proactive, as well as having a creative streak that will allow you to identify innovative solutions, work round problems, identify new areas of work and promote and disseminate our work. The ability to effectively manage staff, deal with multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a supportive team environment is essential.

The Climate Emergency has resulted in ambitious national targets to reduce carbon emissions from the built environment and reduce rates of fuel poverty. This has driven a significant increase in the number of pilot and large-scale interventions delivered by Changeworks and external organisations in this area. These include area-based domestic energy efficiency retrofit and decarbonisation projects and programmes. It is critical that these, and wider sustainability related projects, are closely monitored and evaluated to understand their social, technical, environmental and financial impact and to gain insights that will inform improvements to current and future projects. You will be part of an organisation that sees success as delivering interventions that have both positive outcomes for people and their wellbeing as well as building fabric.

We offer an attractive staff benefits package which includes an excellent pension scheme and 26 days paid holiday plus 9 public holidays per year.
