Edinburgh Full time A6 - £23,504- £25,791 per annum plus 8% employer pension contribution

Changeworks is offering an exciting opportunity for a data analyst to join our busy and growing Consultancy Team. Ambitious national targets on reducing carbon emissions and fuel poverty have seen a significant increase in the need for understanding the energy efficiency of Scotland’s housing stock and overall heat demand and energy use. Our Consultancy Team supports many organisations, including local authorities and housing associations, in planning their low carbon future. This requires a substantial amount of quantitative data analysis.

You will work with the Senior Data Consultant and Data Consultant to provide data analysis services in support of the Consultancy team. This will include the collation, processing, analysis and modelling of property, fuel poverty, low carbon heat and energy use data. In addition, it will involve the visualisation of data analysis results in the form of maps and dashboards or online dynamic reports.

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in data analysis and presenting results in a way that is easily understood by non-specialists. You will have advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with programming languages like R or Python in a data analysis context. Experience of using GIS and Power BI would be an advantage, as is knowledge of SQL. You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and have a willingness to learn new methods, software and analysis topics. You will enjoy working independently and as part of a small team and deliver high quality reports to tight deadlines. An interest in environmental and sustainable living issues is desirable but not essential.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to bring their enthusiasm, commitment to learning and technical data skills to the environmental sector.

Changeworks offer an attractive staff benefits package which includes an excellent pension scheme and 26 days paid holiday plus 9 public holidays per year.
