The role in brief:

An opportunity has arisen to join our Financial Planning team as a Paraplanner. This is a unique opportunity to work within a firm of Chartered Accountants and business advisers. Our Financial Planning business is ready to grow but requires further capacity to facilitate this. You will work as part of the financial planning team providing an excellent service to clients’ in accordance with the firm’s values, procedures, prevailing legislation and good professional practice so as to meet or exceed clients’ expectations and needs.

This is an ideal opportunity for:

• a well-established Paraplanner;

• someone who has some initial experience working as a Paraplanner;

• someone who has built up their financial services experience and feels as though they are ready to make the step up to become a trainee Paraplanner.

Your development:

We will provide a study package towards the CII diploma, chartered or fellowship qualification, including study leave and will mentor you through your qualification journey.

We also provide a complementary range of training opportunities to ensure that you maximise your potential in areas such as becoming a trusted adviser, how to network, presentation skills etc with opportunities for progression around the firm.

We have quarterly performance review conversations to ensure your development is on track.

Responsibilities

You will support our financial advisers in helping clients, many of whom are business owner managers, professionals and retired people, in all aspects of financial planning – cashflow planning, tax mitigation, investment strategy and asset protection.

Produce client friendly financial planning reports in line with our clear and consistent processes.

You would work closely with our financial advisers to research solutions, investment funds and challenge the adviser.

Assist the compliance officer in maintaining appropriate systems and controls, including compliance projects and presale file checking.

Play an active part in business development initiatives, looking for ways to improve paraplanning and department efficiencies.

As your experience grows you may look to develop your skills and work towards a more senior role within the paraplanning team or financial adviser role.

Salary Dependent on experience
