The Financial Controller will manage day to day reporting and analysis of all incoming and outgoing finances within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As Financial Controller you will take full ownership for managing and maintaining the nominal ledger and will ensure that all financial controls, policies, and procedures are adhered to. This person will work closely with the Accounts Manager, managing their work, and will report directly into the Finance Director, highlighting any changes or concerns within the finance reporting.


Managing the planning & preparation of all internal financial reporting to agreed deadlines, including, but not restricted to, the following:

  • Monthly management accounts, including detailed analysis and providing high level concise commentary and analysis of results.
  • Weekly short-term cashflow forecasts
  • Monthly budgets/forecasts
  • KPI and ratio analysis
  • Ad hoc reporting for inclusion in the company’s monthly board packs, and ensuring feedback is incorporated and tracked.
  • Ownership of the preparation of the Group annual report and financial statements, including coordination of senior stakeholders to ensure documents are reviewed and feedback is incorporated and tracked.
  • Management of the external audit, planning and timing of statutory accounts audit work, and managing the interaction with the delivery of statutory reporting.
  • Review/Approve capital expenditure requests and offer support to the business to ensure there is a robust financial business case
  • Overall responsibility for billing, managing the work of the Accounts Manager in this regard.
  • Providing other support to the Finance Director as required.


  • A fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a minimum of 2/3 years PQE


  • Strong leadership skills and coaching capability
  • Process improvement experience and the curiosity to challenge the status quo • Ambitious and driven to succeed
  • Extensive experience of preparing monthly and weekly cashflows.
  • Resilient and able to meet targets in a pressured environment.
  • Producing accurate information first time
  • Capability to work in a fast paced/high change business
  • Excellent time management skills


  • Experience within a fast paced environment 
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Financial Controller

Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, some flexibility required.
