NHL Stenden Hospitality Group B.V is an independent management training company for Stenden Hotel Management School located in both Leeuwarden and Emmen, The Netherlands. NHL Stenden Hospitality Group is looking for:
ROOMS DIVISION MANAGER 1.0 FTE (Leeuwarden)
NHG is a collection of privately operated business outlets within the NHL Stenden environment, including a hotel, several restaurants, catering outlets, and an events company. All business units are managed as learning companies mainly for the International Hospitality Management School. NHG employs 90 employees (62 fte) and provides practical education to 1800 students on a yearly basis.
The reason for our existence is our student base and the fact that we have committed ourselves to giving them the best possible preparation for a successful career in the hospitality industry. Within a set service concept, co-created by the industry, we stimulate our students to experiment with and develop technical and soft skills while offering a first-class hospitality experience to our guests. We create a “Real World Learning” environment in which we introduce our students to best practices, trends and developments in the international hotel industry at an operational, supervisory and managerial level.

We are looking for a dynamic, future-focus and pro-active Rooms Division Manager who is responsible for a team of Practical Instructors within Notiz Hotel. According to the Esquire May 2021; “the place to be when visiting Leeuwarden”! You are able to advise the Hotel Director and will be a member of the Management Team of NHG representing Rooms. You are able to steer organizational decisions based on sound and validated arguments and ensure smooth processes and high compliance in terms of Guest relations, Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations and Revenue management. Other spheres of responsibility include for example creating the yearly budget, coaching the Senior Practical Instrucor(s) regarding work, educational questions, leadership questions and HR related tasks for the team and keeping up with trends within the RD field.
You are in the possession of Bachelor/Master degree in Hospitality Management or similar. A minimum of 5 years working experience in a management position within the Hospitality Industry, leading a team of at least 10 team members. You have excellent communication skills in both English and Dutch and are willing to follow didactical trainings.
