Exterior Painter / Decorator - Permanent

Up to £31,528 Depending on Experience

40 hours per week (Varied through winter and summer)

Are you highly organised with the ability to prioritise your workload using your own initiative? Are you looking for a new and varied role? If the answer is yes, we have an exciting opportunity for you within our Property Services Team.

You will be key in supporting the delivery of our cyclical redecorations programme to our customers’ home and communal areas.

Do you have?

  • Experience in domestic decorating works, preferably within a social housing context, with an appropriate trade qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience in using and working off of ladders and happy to work off of scaffolding, MEWP’s and Towers.
  • A great attitude with an eye for detail and the ability to meet targets without loss of quality.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills when dealing with customers face-to-face. • A sound working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations such as working from height.
  • Experience of working within a building maintenance team environment (desirable but not essential).

Main responsibilities:

  • Undertake the application of paints using brush and roller to all internal and external surfaces, according to industry standards and to a high quality of finish which will include working at height.
  • Carry out labouring duties including washing down of uPVC windows, moving or removal of furniture or cleaning as required to assist in the completion of external decoration and internal communal areas

Lettings Administrator - Secondment Opportunity - 12 months

£25,965 per annum pro rata (12 month fixed-term contract)

18.5 hours per week to be worked over 4/5 days (must cover Monday and Friday)

Do you have a strong administration background? We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Lettings Administrator to join our team on a fixed term basis. As Lettings Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Lettings team to deliver our high-quality customer focussed lettings service.

If you have proven administration experience in a customer service delivery role, have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment then this is a fantastic opportunity. You’ll get to use your administrative and organisational skills to deliver a first-class service to our customers, enhance our processes and contribute to the overall effectiveness of our team's operations.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Lettings Team by assisting with pre and post tenancy work
  • Creating legal documents and compilation of statutory information for lettings packs
  • Using the British Gas portal to ensure readings are submitted in line with contractual obligations.
  • Supporting the Void Technical Officer by raising works orders to contractors
  • Assisting with maintaining records with our Social Housing Regulators
  • Accurately updating records and maintaining in-house systems
  • Collecting and compiling data to support the expansion and development new services.
  • General Lettings administration

About You:

  • You will have strong verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable dealing with a variety of audiences
  • You will have demonstrable experience of planning and prioritising a complex workload, to meet deadlines and support the wider team
  • You will have strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • You will be able to demonstrate strong numeracy and literacy skills with keen attention to detail
  • You will have at least 2 years office administration experience with a high level of understanding of IT, especially Microsoft 365
