The Role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with support and development teams to resolve application and system issues
  • Design and maintain expertise in flow of application process and systems related to company
  • Administer and resolve applications issues, provide updates and perform root cause analysis
  • Supervise all alerts related to application and system procedures and provide services pro-actively

The Role

Your role on behalf of Cubic Telecom is to development existing and new business relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within Cubic’s USA based Automotive OEMs and related partners The role is a mix of strengthen existing and new business partnerships (Farmer) and searching out and growing new business opportunities (Hunter), You will leverage your sales, relationship management and industry experience to open new opportunities and to work with the Cubic team to close new solution projects. Using your experience, you will identify and negotiate innovative solutions based around Cubic’s software platform and mobility products.   • Establish trusted relationships and positive working partnerships with key stakeholders and stakeholder groups within Cubic’s existing client base in USA, Canada and Mexico.
  • Work with and beyond the core Technical and Procurement groups to build these trusted relationships and working partnerships with business and decision-makers in functions across the customer’s organisation, such as strategy, research & development, product management, marketing and sales functions.

  • Experience developing software solutions using C# and .Net
  • Excellent knowledge of how the web works conceptually, including technologies and concepts like HTTP, REST, SOAP & asynchronous processing.
  • Experience using Git as a source control System
  • Experience implementing testing concepts such as unit testing and mocking, and experience writing unit tests using frameworks like NUnit, xUnit, Moq or similar.
  • Previous exposure to domain driven design, CQRS/Event Sourcing and layered architectures;
  • Familiarity with software development practices such as agile software development, continuous integration, continuous delivery and/or test-driven development.

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous exposure to software projects that were implemented in a microservices architecture.
  • Previous exposure to Microsoft Azure, Service Fabric, Azure ServiceBus or NServiceBus.
  • Previous exposure to NoSQL databases, particularly CosmosDB.
  • Exposure to the Automotive, IoT and Enterprise business segments.
  • Knowledge of concepts like inversion of control and dependency injection.
  • Practical experience of working in Azure DevOps and creating build pipelines.

The Role

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic SIM Support Engineer to join the SIM DevOps team, as the team expands to support Cubic’s increasing customers and solutions portfolio.

The SIM DevOps team is responsible for delivering and supporting Cubic solutions in the SIM cards and Remote SIM Provisioning technologies, within state-of-the-art technology projects with world-wide reach. This team is part of the wider SIM Department, responsible for SIM card logistics and forecast, Tier1 management, participation in RFx processes, onboarding new suppliers and a wide range of innovative projects and solutions.

The successful candidate should be comfortable proactively working in a fast paced, highly flexible environment, bring a positive and collaborative attitude to work with an open and analytical mind.

This is a great opportunity for a junior engineer to demonstrate their technical, organisational abilities, working in a small team of experienced engineers at the cutting edge of IoT technologies, supporting other technical teams on full end to end solutions and being exposed to a diverse range of areas across the business.

In this role you will be:

  • Delivering and supporting new features to the existing Cubic SIM solutions for IoT, M2M customers
  • Collecting KPIs and producing regular reports to internal stakeholders
  • Providing level 3 service desk support on:
  • Over The Air (OTA) campaigns
  • Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP) features
  • SIM card features and applets
  • Monitoring RSP systems, ensuring consistent uptime, reporting anomalies and liaising with vendors in issues resolution
  • Interacting with the rest of the technology teams and gaining visibility of E2E process and solutions

The Person

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in telecoms support or Degree in Computer/Telecoms Engineering
  • Ideally, experience with:
  • Remote SIM Provisioning technologies GSMA SGP.02/22
  • ETSI/3GPP smart card/(U)SIM specifications, ISO 7816, Global Platform specifications
  • Telecom RAN and core network architecture
  • On-hands experience with modem testing
  • Monitoring and alerting tools e.g. DataDog, Zabbix
  • Java, C#, scripting knowledge
  • Proven track record in working with operations/support teams.
  • Proactive and open-minded person with analytical & problem-solving thinking
  • Fast learner and like to deep-dive within multiple technologies
  • Quality focused individual with curiosity for technology
  • Ability to work unsupervised and take responsibility for the completion of tasks.

The Role

  • Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

This role will be based in the US Cubic Offices in Detroit, Michigan, but some overseas travel will be required.

The Person

You will have a proven track record in exceptional client-facing project management skills, with the ability to own a project from start to finish. You will have experience in Software and/or Mobile Communications and/or Automotive Projects. With a methodical and logical approach to project management, you will have the ability to communicate successfully and succinctly to internal stakeholders and external clients at all levels. You will work well under pressure, with a proven ability to manage time and budget restrictions. This role will require you to work both as part of a team and independently.

Experience & Skillset

Essential:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a customer-facing Project Management role
  • At least 3 years’ experience of software and/or telecommunications and/or automotive industry
  • Strong ownership, communication, interpersonal, and cross functional project management skills
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills and experience engaging with stakeholders at team and management levels both internally and with customers/partners
  • Experience working with remote/geographically distributed teams
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent data-driven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Sound judgment & decision-making skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a pressurised environment
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • A self-starter, who is intellectually curious and comfortable navigating ambiguity
  • Experience with Agile Software Delivery Lifecycle
  • Fluent English – written and spoken

Preferred:

  • Experience in 3rd Party Integration Partner/Vendor Management
  • Formal Project Management qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience with JIRA Portfolio, Advanced Excel skills, MS PowerPoint and/or other Project Management tools
  • Third level business, technical or other relevant qualification
