Members of Mondrian’s Internal Client Service and Business Development (ICSBD) team are responsible for supporting Client Service Officers (CSOs) and Business Development Officers (BDOs) with client, prospect and consultant relations within North America. This includes responding to inbound requests, facilitating reports and presentations for external meetings, reviewing additional deliverables from internal teams, and strategizing on business travel. Individuals also provide backup support to Mondrian’s external contacts and relationships. This position works closely with members of Mondrian’s London office, such as the firm’s various investment teams, trading/operations, administration/finance, and performance/graphics. Additionally, the team partners with other client service departments on new business proposals, market research, and transfer agency functions.

The major responsibilities of this position could include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Develop external relationships by ensuring multiple tasks and queries are accurately handled by the requested deadline
  • Help build and maintain relationships with registered investment advisers and other intermediaries, as well as identify and pursue new business prospects alongside Mondrian’s Client Service and Business Development Officers
  • Act as an internal resource for issues related to mutual funds and model delivery
  • Assist in the servicing and growing of Mondrian’s managed account programs (SMA/model delivery) and mutual fund relationships with multiple sponsors and platforms
  • Provide investment materials and other data to clients, prospects, and consultants
  • Work alongside CSO/BDOs to achieve client retention and develop new business opportunities
  • Manage internal processes with Operations team for client asset custody, transactions and new account funding
  • Update client guidelines, restriction lists, and fee changes with the respective Compliance/Trading/Legal/Finance teams as needed
  • Conduct competitor analysis and other ad hoc reporting for external meeting preparation
  • Oversee trip planning for client, consultant, and prospect meetings, including the tracked shipment and delivery of any materials in advance
  • Effectively maintain and use Mondrian’s CRM system, Salesforce, to coordinate and facilitate marketing efforts, management reporting, and the distribution of mailing list communications
  • Review RFP responses along with DDQs and other deliverables as needed
  • Support the ongoing development of Mondrian’s automated client reporting solutions across the firm’s suite of investment strategies
  • Ensure proper disclosures and regulatory requirement standards are met in daily operations and logged appropriately where necessary

To perform this job successfully, the employee must reside in the Philadelphia area. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required:

  • College degree required (BA/BS), preferably with a Finance, Marketing, or other Business major/concentration
  • 3-10 years of experience working in a similar role
  • Working towards CFA or MBA is preferred
  • Series 7 and 63 preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce and eVestment is preferred
  • Experience working in the intermediary marketplace 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Ability to construct Pivot Tables and use V Lookups/Index Matching
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively within tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Availability and willingness to work overtime as needed
