The Post

To assist the Voids and Maintenance Operations in the smooth delivery of a quality customer focused service. The successful applicant would be skilled in customer relations and very customer facing you will need to demonstrate empathy and able to offer solution to problems and issues resulting from dissatisfied customers. Ensuring smooth process flow of void properties and delivery of excellence minimizing the time a void property remains un-let due to voids works. You should also be capable of promoting the Breyer Group Plc Brand. Ideally the candidate will demonstrate previous experience in managing the administration process for void works. You will need to have good communication and intrapersonal skills as you will be liaising with other agencies internal and external customers, you will need to understand that this service is very much time critical.

Flexibility

In order to work effectively in a changing environment, flexibility is required from the post holder. This may be that other tasks are undertaken and/or location of base may change. These will be within the same level of responsibility and terms and conditions of employment.

Main Responsibilities

You will have a varied workload, which usually entails based from a local strategic site office but carrying out multiple visits to properties throughout various locations when carrying out responsive and void repairs.

Typical work activities include:

  • Day to day management of workload
  • Ensure that all works are carried out safely and to an excellent quality standard
  • Updating PDA devices with work schedules and other key information as required
  • To maintain our corporate image and service standards Be able to communicate with residents
  • Face to Face Where necessary, dealing with tenants issues and complaints in an effective manner
  • Ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations, standards, and legal responsibilities relating to repair work and contractor compliance
  • Ensure a quality `right first time fix’ service is maintained
  • Manage Imprest stock within van to minimize non working time
  • Ensuring the effective and proactive delivery of service
  • Ensuring the maintenance and delivery of any documentation required to agreed standard and timescale
  • To work as an integral team member as well as a mentor and coach to apprentices
  • Making decisions using specialist experience
  • Supports and manages delivery of health and safety policy and standards
  • Supports & assists the identification of the reduction of costs
  • May take part in out of hours on call system as required by the service

Person Specification

Knowledge & Experience

  • Plastering is Essential
  • Multi Trades which include Tiling, Painting Repairs & Maintenance Void Properties

Qualifications Required

  • Site Operative CSCS card (Desirable)
  • Asbestos Awareness Training (Desirable)
  • Trade City & Guilds/ NQV qualification or Time Served Full UK Driving License
  • SSSTS Health and Safety (Desirable)
  • First Aid Trained (Desirable)
  • DBS check completed (Desirable)
