About the role

Reporting into our IT Manager, you will be delivering IT support to our team members across all of our dealerships. You’ll be able to demonstrate knowledge and passion for Computer Architecture, Networking, MAC / Windows OS, Office 365 Environments, along with general trouble shooting skills.

You’ll be great at building relationships with users at all levels ensuring they are fully supported and able to focus on delivering excellent customer service. Training to advance your skills and experiences will be offered as part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing first line support for our 200+ staff across the South East of England
  • Day-to-day support, troubleshooting, maintenance and monitoring our infrastructure.
  • Rolling out updates to computers and other devices when required.
  • Administrative duties - the logging of assets.
  • Setting up end user hardware – laptops, desktops, mobile phones etc.
  • Researching and evaluating new technologies applicable to our environment and help implement them where necessary.
  • Assume other responsibilities when other members of the IT team are out of the office.

The successful candidate will..

  • Have experience/ can demonstrate a passion for technology.
  • Be proficient with PC rebuilds and repairs.
  • Can troubleshoot/resolve software and operating system issues on both Windows and Apple products.
  • Have excellent communication/documentation and people skills.
  • Have a willingness to learn about the aspects of IT that they have not yet had exposure to (Additional training can be provided.)
  • Have a flexible approach to travel throughout Home Counties, London and East Anglia (Full clean driving licence required)

The ideal candidate will..

  • Possess knowledge of LAN/WAN/VLAN, Active Directory, Servers & Data Switches.
  • Have work experience in the IT / Automotive sector.
  • Have a degree or IT related qualification, or equivalent work experience.

  • Preparation and execution of Masterclass (Connect activation, additional explanations and other services, if not done in the first delivery)

About the role

This traineeship encompasses a 3-year development plan. By the end of 3 years, the trainee should be in a position to step into a dealership accounting role should one be available.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Action/Manage/Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all weekly/monthly/ quarterly/ yearly reporting requirements for our designated Porsche, Triumph, Harley-Davidson, and BMW dealerships. Including bank reconciliations, cash-flow analysis, monthly KPI’s.
  • Financial support including cover accounts, online shop, bank, sales and debtor reconciliations/ credit collection as required
  • Share key insights with the FD, Manufacturer and wider dealership team as and when required
  • Manage the appropriate Dealership processes and controls to ensure compliance with LIND agreed processes, GAAP, legal, professional obligations
  • Being proactive in recommending improvements to the wider Lind team.
  • Potential to take ownership of Lind’s Payroll in the future
  • Ad hoc Group Projects as requested by the FD and MD

Ideal Candidate:

  • Relevant qualifications and successful progress towards an AAT, CIMA or ACA or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail is paramount
  • Proficient experience with Excel – Intermediate or Advanced • Automotive industry and/or multi-site retail experience would be beneficial
  • Experience with Kerridge, Mentor and/or Pyramid would be beneficial
  • Ability to build relationships which embody high levels of trust, clear and timely communications and accuracy
  • Ability to take on board feedback and grow from it
  • Take Ownership, Passion and Pride in helping achieve the optimal financial processes and health of LIND
