  • Achieving targets for hours sold

Motorcycles Technicians are at the core of our daily success, and we are currently looking for Motorcycle Apprentices to join us who are willing to work and study hard, and commit to a three year BMW accredited training course.

The training programme will be carried out at our LIND Motorrad dealership. You will learn how to diagnose and repair problems and become familiar with key financial management and legal principles, with the support of our experienced Technicians in the workshop.

On completion of your Apprenticeship, you will be fully ATA-accredited with a City and Guilds qualification in Motor Vehicle Engineering. (NVQ Level 3) and have the opportunity to progress within LIND.

What we’re looking for

An Apprentice Technician who is passionate and enthusiastic about motorcycles and committed to having a career within this industry. You will be confident in providing a great customer service and work well within a team environment with like-minded individuals in our workshop. To be considered for this position, you will need to be able to travel daily to work.

You will also need to be eligible to partake in an Apprenticeship Scheme, ideally with GCSE grades C or above in Maths and English and/or Computer Science.

  • Working 40 hours per week (normally Tuesday to Saturday)

The day varies so much, but as an idea of duties: 

  • Meet and greet our lovely customers, helping them with their merchandise needs

Ideal Candidate:

  • Relevant qualifications and successful progress towards an AAT, CIMA or ACA or equivalent

  • Proficient experience with Excel – Intermediate or Advanced • Automotive industry and/or multi-site retail experience would be beneficial
  • Experience with Kerridge, Mentor and/or Pyramid would be beneficial

You will learn how to diagnose and repair problems and become familiar with key financial management and legal principles.

This is a government funded scheme, which means you get paid full-time while you learn.

This is a part-time role, 6 hours per week at £11.57 per hour.

Position Purpose:

Reporting to the Head of Business, the successful individual will be practical and hands on. They will need to demonstrate an excellent standard of housekeeping and they should be able to show attention to detail and be proactive and innovative.
